I have welcomed Guests in to my home for almost 25 years, set  in the village of Acton Bridge 2 minutes from A49  in unspoilt Cheshire countryside.  Ash House Farm Grade 2 listed property is a  working farm,  warm hospitality, comfort and excellent breakfasts consisting of locally sourced produce is part of the experience when staying at Ash House Farm where many Guests have returned frequently over the years. The main house has two rooms with excellent views and four rooms in the Fruit Store annexe.  (See details below for Fruit Store accommodation) Only 15 minutes from Oulton Park, 10 minutes from Anderton Boat Lift and 5 Minutes from Black Prince Narrowboat Holidays.  Ideal stopover for overnight stay halfway break from North to South or visa versa. Easy access to Daresbury, Manor Park Runcorn, central for Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and National Trust Properties. six dining establishments within a mile.  TRULY a great location for all. The Fruit Store


fruit_store.jpgAsh House Farm was previously owned by Alexander Carlton Greg whose family originally owned Quarry Bank Mill at Styal. The farm was very well known for growing fruit in this area and Fruit Store is the original building where the fruit was packed for market, all the rooms which are individually styled are all named after fruits.  Renovated to a high standard, comprising of four en-suite bedrooms, all rooms have underfloor heating, self contained where Guest's can come and go as they please without disturbance. The first floor has a king size room and a twin room, the ground floor has a double room and a twin room this can also be linked to be a King size room.  Guests staying in the Fruit Store come across the courtyard to the house for breakfast.  


chickens_w.jpgAsh House Farm is a genuine working farm where we now have our own free range hens scratching away happily in the Orchard at the bottom of the garden, lovely fresh free range eggs for breakfast. Apples from the orchard are picked and bottled into our very own Ash House Farm Apple juice, which tastes absolutely delicious you can really taste the difference. Why not escape the stress of city life for a short break in the peace of the Cheshire countryside.  Wow!!!  Explore all that Cheshire has to offer Ash House Farm is such a central location for Arley Hall, Tatton Park, Dunham Massey, Quarry Bank Mill, Styal, Oulton Park Racing Circuit, Anderton Boat Lift and Blakemere Craft Centre where Falconry Days are held.  The historical city of Chester, Liverpool, Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village, Ellesmere are all within easy access.  Very good area for country walks along the river,  ideal location for Cyclists passing through from Lands End to John o' Groats or doing the Cheshire Cycleway.  A large selection of maps and information on the surrounding area is available, including books on detailed walks and cycle routes to borrow whilst staying.


Bed & Breakfast


greg_room_2_-_w_-_c.jpgEither for business or pleasure Ash House Farm is a very relaxing homely place to take a break.  Sue and her family have been residents here since 1991 and a few years later Sue opened the house up as a Bed & Breakfast a couple of years after purchasing the farm and in 2007 opened the Fruit Store annexe due to a large amount of return business.  The main house has  the Pikenhall room which is ideal family accommodation consisting of one double & two single beds and is full en-suite.  The Greg roomis a spacious twin bedded room with shower and washbasin, both rooms are very light and airy and overlook the large well stocked garden and the scenic Cheshire landscape, views to die for.  Take a look at the Bed & Breakfast Page for a full description of the rooms.  Enter the dining room and enjoy stunning views through the bay window which looks out on to the very large garden.  Sue offers a hearty award winning farmhouse breakfast using locally sourced produce or continental breakfast; fresh fruit is also available.   Early breakfasts are available for the business person.Breakfast is available at a time to suit your needs, whether for business or pleasure.
